Wedding Songs

Forget the google lists... my wedding tips will make your music 'sing' you.

There are 3 things I reckon make your marriage ceremony uniquely you,
1. your VOWS (the reason for the ceremony)
2. your STORY (and of course the way I tell it to your guests)
3. your MUSIC

Some people know exactly what they want to use, but if you don’t here’s my tips to help you nail it;

No Buble!
Every wedding vendor knows the words by heart to most Michael Buble songs, why? Because everybody uses them! Don’t choose from a google list unless the song means something to you. With all things marriage, choose from the heart.
Remember the time
Have you got a “song”, or was there a song playing when you had your first pash in the nightclub/got engaged/climbed that mountain – then use it! You will know what it means, I may bang on about this – but who’s wedding is it anyway? Yours. Make it count for YOU!
What would they say?
It’s another thread on a common theme – don’t choose a slow song because that’s what people expect. If you want rap and that’s your thing – go for it! Death metal? Bring it on! I do recommend something loose and powerful for your final exit because that’s when the parties about to start, but mix it up to make it you.
Whose job is it?
If you’re like most couples, there's usually one of you who has done the lion’s share of the internet trawling, you’re just along for the (DIY) ride. But this is a good chance to choose something together. Turn off the tv and i-gizmo’s for the night, uncork that bottle and get out your play list (ok get the i-gizmo out if it’s all on-the-line)...
